Bronchitis

The bronchitis is a disease characterized with inflammation of part of airways of the lungs. This is a system of branching out tube organs - trachea, bronchi and bronchiole, which form bronchial tree. In the breath process air stream passes through them. In case of inflammation of the bronchial tree the air stream passing is impaired and the result is shortness of breath. More often in bronchitis there is injury of the larger airways - trachea (tracheobronchitis), large and small bronchi. In children sometimes smaller bronchi are involved - bronchioles and terminal bronchioles, the children have bronchiolitis and this is another type of disease.
