Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is a destructive joint disease with a lost of cartilage and changes of the underlying bone tissue. In the course of disease, joint cartilage changes with forming erosions and gaps, reaching the deep layers of the bone, which thickens and osteophyts are formed. Osteoarthritis is characterized with joint pains on movement, which decrease at rest. In osteoarthritis of the legs pains are intensive in the morning on movement, after that they disappear, and appear and increase n the evening. With advancing of the disease the joint movements are restricted, it deforms and muscles around the joint are with low tone. In a bigger joint upload or trauma a inflammatory process develops and then pains in the joint are constant. The joint is swollen; the skin on it is sleek and swollen. The movements in the joint are restricted or impossible.
