Chronic colitis

The acute inflammation of the colon is as frequent in children as in elderly. The colitis is due to different infectious agents (Coli-bacteria, Slamonella, Shigella), protozoa (amoeba), diet faults, chemical toxins ,which are eliminated or absorbed by the colon. Colitis begins abruptly with intensive spastic pain along the colon. There is diarrhoea as there are multiple waterish stools where there is mucus and blood. Very often the temperature is increased up to 380. The patients have fatigue, dehydrate quickly. The tongue is red and dry, arterial blood pressure is low.
