Ischemic heart

Ischemic heart disease is one of the most often heart diseases. It is injury of the heart as a result of insufficient oxygen supply. The most often reason for low oxygen supply is atherosclerosis. It leads to narrowing of the vessels and decreases the blood flow to the heart. The risk factors for appearing and developing of these diseases are high blood pressure, obesity, smoking, diabetes. The heredity also plays a role. The chest pain which goes to cervix and the left hand is characteristic for different types of this disease - stable and non stable stenocardia known as angina pectoris and the most severe is infarction. The pain appears at rest, during physical effort, emotional stress, sometimes on wake up, or after meal. Sometimes it is provoked by cold. It is different in power and duration. Efficacy treatment of high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, diabetes and obesity decreases the risk from this disease and its complications.
